Well folks, this review is probably
gonna be the shortest in the history of, well, me writing reviews. I left
everything out cause I hate getting my reviews in late. My school had our big
dance this weekend so I was out for that and didn’t get much sleep plus had a
ton of homework and worked 20 hours this past weekend too. So, the normal review
will return next week.
Keep sending mail to me for the mailbag-

[COLD OPENING] Tom Ridge
announces new White House members
Great to see Darrell back doing Tom Ridge. Then Robert “Freakin” DeNiro jumps
in. This defines coolness. I think I just about rolled over on every name he
said. And he says LFNY which makes it even better
RATING: 9/10
[MONOLOGUE] Robert DeNiro
A real monologue! These are few and far between. I figured it would be a solo
mono cause DeNiro would want some spotlight by himself for one sketch. Short,
but funny nonetheless.
RATING: 7.5/10
[COMMERCIAL] Big-N-Tasty
A great commercial targeting those fat wastes of lives that are known as me who
eat at McD’s each weekend on my lunch break. And Downey doing the voiceover
which is nice.
RATING: 9/10
[SKETCH] Thomas Jefferson
See, no one in the audience got any of these jokes- but all of them were
hilarious! And in history right now, coincidentally, were talking about what a
man whore Jefferson was. The best part had to be Tracy though- I was laughing
for awhile.
RATING: 8.5/10
[SKETCH] Peter Pan
Wow. This skit was really awesome; and DeNiro style. His best work of the night
so far. A great sketch.
RATING: 9.5/10
[SKETCH] Santa Claus
Maya plays the slut again. Excellent. Skit was decent but kinda had one too many
loose ends.
RATING: 7/10
[COMMERCIAL] UN Weapons Inspectors
Punchline came at the end but it was well played and hilarious.
RATING: 9/10
[SKETCH] Judge Horace
Wow. Tracy once again proves he’s totally awesome on the show. Skit had me
rocking and rolling.
RATING: 8/10
[MUSIC] Norah Jones
Fast forward: this is one of the advantages of watching the show on tape
RATING: N/A
[WEEKEND UPDATE] With Jimmy Fallon and Tina Fey
We had Tracy again as Bobby Brown this time and him sweating had to be the
funniest thing all night. The Kattan/Dratch thing I think had a hint of
recurring written on it, but I’m not sure. Most of the jokes were good, but no
Jacko joke?!?!?
RATING: 9/10
[SKETCH] Versace
Wow. This was a waste of my time. Kudos to the Keitel cameo though.
RATING: 2/10
[SKETCH] Buy a Car
Kinda like the cold open- the same joke over and over again but still humorous.
Very well done.
RATING: 7/10
[SKETCH] Dad tells his kid a story
Kattan playing the little dude again. He was funny in this too. DeNiro had great
lines too.
RATING: 7/10
[MUSIC] Norah Jones
No comment.
[SKETCH] Radioactive Bear
Did someone let Will Ferrell into 30 Rock and let him write this sketch. It
kinda had Ferrell written on the side of it a little bit, but sort of faded out
too by someone wiping it. Skit was funny. Fred plays the bear, but, wait;
DEAN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!???????? Does he play the other?
RATING: 8/10
SKETCH OF THE NIGHT: Peter Pan
PLAYER OF THE NIGHT: Jimmy Fallon
QUOTE OF THE NIGHT: Jim Downey as the spokesman for McDonalds,
“Scientific studies suggest that excessive consumption of food may cause weight
gain. In other words, if you stuff your greasy pie hole nonstop, you’re probably
going to pork up.”
OVERALL EPISODE RATING: 70/100
We had some highs, we had some lows. We had mediocrity. It pains me to write
such a short review for Mr. DeNiro but fear not, I shall return in full force
next week. That’s because the man who more Americans wanted to be president is
hosting next week!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! The future President of 2004-2012 is
hosting SNL!!!!!!! And Phish too!!
Guess what folks? That’s the news and I am outta here…
