Lara Flynn Boyle / Bon Jovi

Since I'm not a big "drama television" fan, I had no clue who Lara Flynn Boyle even was. However, with only two episodes left in the season, I was still looking forward to it as much as ever.

[COLD OPENING] Dick Cheney Address

Just your typical cold opening, but this time it wasn't George W. Bush! It's great to see Darrell getting some use out of his great Cheney impression. He looks and sounds just like him. Great way to start the show!

RATING : 7.5/10

[MONOLOGUE] Lara Flynn Boyle

This type of monologue is my favorite. The wacky fan in the audience shouting things out. He was great in last season's Tobey Maguire monologue, and he was even funnier now.  The part with the pizza and sandwich was rather disturbing, but pretty damn funny nonetheless. One of the best monologues of the season.

RATING : 9/10

[COMMERCIAL] Corn Chip Nail Tips

See my Rob Lowe review...

[SKETCH] Perverted Imposter Doctors

Well, in retrospect, this was a very wacky sketch, with a twist. The funniest part, for sure, was when Darrell came in as the real doctor and asked "Who the hell are you people?". A great sketch idea, but this is something I would have expected to see near the end of the show, not near the first.

RATING : 8/10

[SKETCH] Kyle and Sean DeMarco

This sketch just never gets old, does it? I guess it's because it's a different musical guest each time. One of the funniest parts of these sketches are how well the artists take the mocking of their lyrics so passively. But, compared to the other DeMarco sketches, this was just average, and compared to the average normal sketch, it was less than average.

RATING : 6/10

[SKETCH] MTV Cribs : Robert Downey Jr.

A great idea! I got quite a kick out of this 10 second sketch!

RATING : 8.5/10

[SKETCH] Save the Starving Actresses

This was a really good idea, but the sketch was nearly as funny as it could have been. It would have been funnier if Will and somebody else did the talking. Oh well, I guess they can't all be good.

RATING : 5/10

[SKETCH] The Scarlet Letter

I didn't catch the drift of this until the woman came in. Then I found this sketch extremely hilarious. I would have thought this sketch to be at the end of the show as well, but it was fine where it was. Will character as the guy from the woods was pretty funny, especially when he refused to return. Overall, a fairly decent sketch.

RATING : 8/10

[MUSIC] Bon Jovi

This song was already pretty old, so I didn't even bother to watch.

[WEEKEND UPDATE] With Jimmy Fallon & Tina Fey

Just the typical Weekend Update, which of course, is hilarious. Not much else to say about it...

RATING : 9/10

[SKETCH] Moulin Rouge

Well I guess this was poking fun at the Moulin Rouge soundtrack. But since I didn't see the film or hear the soundtrack, this sketch was pretty much a waste of time.

RATING : 5/10

[SKETCH] MSNBC Investigates

Another great sketch idea, and this one was put forth well. I laughed through the whole thing at how they were mocking those ridiculous investigative report shows. The reenactment of the golden girls scene was great. A pretty good sketch for the second half of the show.

RATING : 7.5/10

[SKETCH] Wake Up Wakefield

This sketch is ridiculous and just about the farthest thing from funny. The only thing that's close to being funny is Horatio's character who tries to act cool in front of the children.

RATING : 2/10

[SKETCH] A Message From Shequille O'Neal

A good way to poke fun at the fact that you can't tell the difference from when Shequille is joking or not. Tracy's impression wasn't great, but it did the job for the sketch. Kinda funny.

RATING : 4/10

[MUSIC] Bon Jovi

Didn't watch.

[SKETCH] Shooters

These characters were pretty annoying, but as I watched the sketch a second time, I realized there was some funny stuff in this sketch. So it wasn't all bad.

RATING : 6/10

Sketch of the night : The Scarlet Letter

Quote of the night : Jimmy Fallon as Kip Bloater "I'm getting called for high sticking." Chris Parnell as Wayne Bloater "I'm getting a Zamboni!"

(If that quote made no sense to you, then you're probably not taking it in the right context...)

    OVERALL EPISODE RATING : 66/100

Well I was a bit disappointed for this being the second last episode of the season. However, last year's Christopher Walken episode was great, and I'm going to assume that next week's will be the same.
