Julia Stiles / Aerosmith

Saturday Night Live's been on a roll lately, and I was hoping that maybe they could get some success with this episode. I guess I'd have to wait and find out whether or not I'd be impressed or disappointed.

[COLD OPENING] Martha Stewart Living

This was very funny! I love Ana's Martha Stewart impression, it's dead on and hilarious. There were a whole bunch of great quotes from this opening, and it was a great way to start the show. Now, just keep this up now...

RATING : 8.5/10

[MONOLOGUE] Julia Stiles

Heh, any monologue with Tracy Morgan harassing the host is always funny! I didn't see her movie, so I didn't know what scene they were talking about, but this was still pretty good. Not great, but average.

RATING : 7/10

[COMMERCIAL] Homocil

See my Sean Hayes review...

[SKETCH] Wake Up Wakefield

Horatio was funny as the guidance councilor, but that's it. This was very boring, and had no point.

RATING : 3.5/10

[SKETCH] U.S. Post Office

Hmm, another recurring character for Maya. That's good though, she needs all the airtime she can get. Anyway, I'm not sure what it is, but I really like these sketches. Jerry Minor cracked me up as the worker, but the high point was Chris Kattan's sarcastic laugh. Very funny!

RATING : 8/10

[MUSIC] Aerosmith

Good tune.

[WEEKEND UPDATE] With Tina Fey & Jimmy Fallon

Just the average Weekend Update. But, thanks to this season, the average weekend update gets a 9! There were some pretty great jokes, I especially loved the Nerf cars one. The on-screen graphics mess-up at the beginning was annoying, but I didn't take off any points.

RATING : 9/10

[SKETCH] Suel Forrester

Good to see a return of a great recurring character. I was excited when I saw Chris come out as Suel, but I was disappointed when the sketch ended. It wasn't nearly as good as I thought it would be. Better than average.

RATING : 6.5/10

[SKETCH] After Hours Cleaning Ladies

After the first scene of Will sexually harassing the female workers, I thought for SURE this was a spin-off of Passive Aggressive Pam, except this time it would be Sexually Harassing Nick. But it ended up that it had nothing to do with the rest of the sketch. I'm getting tired of Julia having to be in every sketch, she's not funny. Rachel's last story at the end was hilarious, highlight of the sketch.

RATING : 7.5/10

[SHORT] The Doberman

Yeah, this Adam McKay guy is messed up in the head. Will's pathetic girly screaming was awesome, so that earned this sketch some points. And finally at the end, it all seemed to make sense once I saw the ad in the telephone book. Not too bad, for an SNL Digital Short!

RATING : 6.5/10

[SKETCH] Amateur Night at Apollo Theater

I don't know why I liked this, but I did. For a first time, Julia's ridiculous dance to the techno song was great! Jerry Minor, once again getting some show time, was great as the gay dude. Fairly good overall.

RATING : 7/10

[SKETCH] Willy Slugg's Eye Poppers

The only funny thing about this sketch were the testimonials. The extreme exaggerations were hilarious. However, the rest of this sketch kinda sucked. Good theme song though, POP POP POP!

RATING : 6/10

[MUSIC] Aerosmith

I didn't watch them this time.

[SKETCH] Der Lächeln Beherrscht

Umm, riiiiiight. What a waste of my time.

RATING : 1/10

[SKETCH] St. Patrick's Day Message from Van Morrison

Everybody needs an excuse these days to pour beer all over themselves...

RATING : 4/10

Sketch of the night : U.S. Post Office

Quote of the night : Ana Gasteyer as Martha Stewart "You must be Irish, because my penis is 'Dublin' "

    OVERALL EPISODE RATING : 62/100

This show kinda sucked. There were some good highlights, but overall, it was poor. The Alec Baldwin episode should be good though. Only FIVE more episodes!
