Mena Suvari / Lenny Kravitz

I honestly expected what I like to call an "extreme giggler" as the host. I figured she'd be just like Kate Hudson and Charlize Theron, and the show would really blow. I was hoping to be proved wrong!!

[COLD OPENING] Bill Clinton Address

Seeing Darrell doing Clinton, I knew that this would probably be his last chance to open the show with his famous impression. This was an extremely funny cold opening, with many funny parts. Bill telling the nation to "suck on it", and George W. buying a singing fish for "one-thousand dollars". I can just see a whole line of George W. openings, and I'm glad they wrote Clinton into this one. This was probably the best cold opening of the season.

RATING : 9.5/10

[MONOLOGUE] Mena Suvari

This would be my first chance to get a good idea on what the show would be like. Will and Molly were OKAY, but the best was when Lorne was thinking about Tracy. A bit predictable, but still great. Other than that, this monologue wasn't that great...

RATING : 6.5/10

[COMMERCIAL] Gatorade Love Bucket

Hmm....a good idea, but I think they could have found a better way to bring the idea across. Funny, nonetheless...

RATING : 7.5/10

[SKETCH] La Guardia Airport Metal Detector

Somehow SNL managed to turn this one lined character into a pretty funny sketch. Mena wasn't funny, but Maya Rudolph was hilarious. Her character was funny, but if they bring her back as a recurring character, it would wear out. Chris Parnell getting searched by Tracy's huge 'friend' has hilarious.

RATING : 7/10

[SKETCH] Janet Reno's Dance Party

Ahh...the good old days. I always loved Will's Reno impression. This was great, how it showed some old clips from the previous sketches. Bill Clinton's appearance was decent, and how he left with the young girl was pretty funny. I couldn't believe it when the actual Janet Reno came in though, I was really surprised that Will had the guts to do the impression to her face. This was the only reason I gave this sketch a good rating.

RATING : 8/10

[SKETCH] Rap Street

Yes, it's official, they're not funny anymore. They got ruined because they were bringing them back too often. Horatio's adlibbing was good though, and Mena's Aaron Carter impression was hilarious. Anyway, don't bring them back until, at least, the season finale.

RATING : 7.5/10

[CARTOON] X-Presidents

I think Robert Smigel is Molly Shannon's alter-ego. That's why the cartoons aren't funny anymore. They're starting to really hurt the show.

RATING : 1.5/10

[SKETCH] Wake Up, Little Susie

Tracy Morgan was hilarious in this sketch. Will was funny how he kept repeating, "She doesn't love you, she's in a coma !" Pretty good sketch.

RATING : 7/10

[WEEKEND UPDATE] With Tina Fey & Jimmy Fallon

For the first time, even the weekend update wasn't that great. Yes, some of it was ok, but I'm getting kind of sick of the Al Sharpton and Jesse Jackson bits. Jacob Silj was pretty funny, though.

RATING : 8/10

[MUSIC] Lenny Kravitz

Didn't watch.

[SKETCH] Veronica and Co.

Where did I leave that suicide pill?....

RATING : 0.5/10

[SKETCH] Lenny Kravitz Dance Tryouts

The only reason this didn't grow old yet is because there's a different artist each time. I loved the dances, especially when Chris and Chris started running around the table to the song "Fly Away". Fairly decent...

RATING : 6/10

[MUSIC] Lenny Kravitz

Once again, didn't watch...

Sketch of the night : Bill Clinton's Presidential Address

Quote of the night : Will Ferrell as George W. Bush "Hello America, I'm your new president, and keep in mind, that's for a whole year!"

    OVERALL EPISODE RATING : 63/100

Well, better than I expected, but hopefully the Weekend Update will be better next show. Also, we're going to need another "10" sketch pretty soon now...
